The India Post Department is recruiting for 21,413 positions for Gramin Dak Sevaks across various regions. This recruitment will not involve any written exams or interviews. Instead, candidates will be selected based on their marks in the 10th grade. The merit list will be prepared according to these marks, and those with the highest marks will be chosen for the available positions.

The online application forms were made available between February 10 and March 3, 2025. After the initial submission period, candidates were provided with a revision window from March 6 to March 8, 2025. During this time, they had the opportunity to make corrections or updates to any incorrect or incomplete details on their application forms.

Now, candidates can check their individual application status by entering their application number. This will show whether their form has been accepted for further processing or if it has been rejected. The recruitment process is purely merit-based, so no entrance examination will be held. The results for the GDS recruitment will be declared next month on the official India Post website. These results will be shared in separate circles (regions) according to the specific areas in which candidates have applied.

For now, interested candidates can visit the India Post portal and check the status of their application by entering their respective application number. This status update will help applicants know the outcome of their submission and whether they need to take any further action.

India Post GDS: Reasons for Application Rejection

If a candidate’s application for the India Post GDS recruitment has been rejected, it could be due to one or more of the following reasons:

incomplete Application

If the candidate has missed filling in any required information or failed to submit necessary documents, the application will be considered incomplete. This could include missing personal details, educational qualifications, or failing to upload supporting documents like educational certificates or category certificates.

Incorrect Information

If the details entered by the candidate do not match the official records or if there are discrepancies, the application may be rejected. For example, mismatched names, dates of birth, or marks mentioned in the application compared to the official documents could result in rejection.

Invalid Photograph/Signature

If the candidate uploads a photograph or signature that does not meet the prescribed specifications (such as being blurred, unclear, or not matching the required format), the application will be rejected. It’s important for candidates to ensure that their photo and signature are of good quality and meet the specific size and clarity requirements mentioned in the guidelines.

Failure to Meet Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility requirements as mentioned in the recruitment notice, such as age limits or educational qualifications, will have their application rejected. For example, if the candidate is below or above the age limit specified, or if they do not have the required educational qualifications (like a minimum of 10th-grade marks), their application will not be accepted.

Multiple Applications

If a candidate submits more than one application for the same recruitment process, all the applications might be rejected. India Post strictly adheres to the rule that only one application per candidate is allowed. Submitting multiple applications from the same candidate can lead to the rejection of all forms.

Candidates should carefully check all the details before submitting their applications and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. Additionally, they should ensure their photographs and signatures meet the required standards to avoid rejection. If an application is rejected, candidates may need to reapply in the next recruitment cycle or rectify the issues in future submissions.
